Swagelok holds a variety of maritime certificates from organizations such as Lloyd's register, Det Norske, United State Department of the Navy, American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and Nippon Kaiji Kyokai. Swagelok alloy 400/405 mechanically attached fittings (MAF) have been approved by the U.S. Navy for use in fluid systems on surface ships based on testing per ASTM F 1387-99. - Hydraulic actuation systems
Cleanliness is essential to proper operation of systems involving steering, aircraft elevators, propeller systems and damage control valves. Swagelok smooth-bore seamless stainless steel tubing and Mechanically Attached Fittings (MAF) have been used for applications up to 1" OD. - Compressed air systems
Designed for high pressure air and cleanliness, copper-nickel alloy tubing and Monel fittings are ideal for use in pressurized gas systems, diesel engines, pneumatic hoists, and control air for regulating valves. - Lube oil systems
Swagelok has many products rated for use at operational pressure and temperature ranges of the lube oil systems crucial to a ship's propulsion. - Potable water systems
Post-installation cleanliness is vital to provide consumable water using brazing/welding and flushing processes. Swagelok MAF are available for these uses, as well as sizes up to 1" O.D. in Monel grip type fittings, along with class 200 70-30 copper nickel alloy tubing. - Submersible and diving applications
Including the Deep Rover submersible, hyperbaric chamber technology and tube bending assemblies used on remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) to clean tankers and large boats.
